Refund policy
Ask within 30 days and you get the dollar back, no reason needed. Duplicate charges are refunded whenever you spot them. Notes removed for breaking the rules aren't, and never winning the draw isn't a refund reason — the dollar bought the wall spot, and you got it.
1. The rule
Ask us within 30 days of your payment and we'll refund the dollar in full and take the note off the wall. You don't have to give a reason.
2. Always refunded, whenever you notice
These aren't limited to the 30-day window. Tell us at any point and we'll sort it out:
- you were charged twice for the same note;
- you were charged and no note ever appeared — though we'd usually rather fix it and put your note up, so say which you'd prefer;
- someone used your card without your permission (tell your bank as well, not just us);
- the site shuts down within 30 days of your payment, which is also covered by the 30-day notice in the terms.
3. Not refunded
- You were never drawn as #1. The draw is a bonus. Your dollar bought a permanent spot on the wall, and the spot was delivered.
- The note was removed for breaking the terms. Section 4 of the terms lists what that means.
- The wall didn't send you traffic. We never promised any, and every link here is nofollow on purpose.
- You changed your mind well outside the window and the note has been up the whole time. Ask anyway — see section 5.
4. How to ask, and what happens
Get in touch with your serial number, your Stripe receipt, or the email address you paid with. Any one of the three is enough for us to find the payment.
- We aim to reply within five business days.
- We issue the refund the same day we agree to it.
- Stripe returns it to the card you paid with, which usually takes another five to ten business days on top. That part is your bank's pace, not ours.
- Refunds are always the whole dollar. There's nothing to pro-rate on a one-time purchase, however long the note has been up.
5. Outside the window
Ask anyway. The 30 days are what we commit to in writing, not a shutter that comes down. If something genuinely went wrong, the date on the receipt isn't the interesting part.
6. Please email before you dispute the charge
A chargeback on a one-dollar payment costs us roughly fifteen dollars in fees and takes weeks to resolve, whoever ends up being right. If something's wrong, ask us first: a refund is faster for you and far cheaper for us, and we haven't said no to one yet.
If a payment is disputed, the note comes off the wall while the dispute is open. It goes back up if the dispute is withdrawn.
