1. Who this is between

1usd.lol (“we”, “us”) runs a public wall of notes at 1usd.lol. These terms cover everyone who visits the site and everyone who buys a note. Buying one means you accept them. Looking at the wall is free and doesn't require agreeing to anything beyond section 8.

You need to be old enough where you live to enter a contract and make a payment — eighteen in most places. If you're buying on behalf of a company, you're confirming you're allowed to.

2. What a dollar buys

One payment of one US dollar buys one note on the wall. A note is:

• your site name (up to 28 characters) and a link to it;
• an optional one-line description (up to 40 characters);
• a logo you upload, or a generated monogram if you don't, plus one of the listed note tones;
• a serial number, issued when the payment clears;
• one entry in every draw, for as long as the note is on the wall.

There is no renewal fee, no expiry date, and no second invoice. The note is the thing you are buying. Everything else on the site — the draw, the ticker, the click counter — is decoration around that one purchase.

3. The draw, precisely

• Every fifteen minutes, one note is picked at random from those that are paid for and currently on the wall, and shown in the #1 spot until that window ends.
• Every eligible note has the same chance in every draw. There is no way to buy better odds, and we don't sell any. Two notes means two entries — it doesn't make either entry more likely to be picked than anyone else's.
• The draw is worked out when somebody loads the page rather than by a scheduled job, so a window can run past fifteen minutes if nobody is looking. We think that's a fair trade for not running a cron job on a novelty wall, but you should know it's how it works.
• Being drawn is worth exactly one placement, on one page, for one window. There is no prize, no cash equivalent, and nothing to claim.

This is not a lottery, sweepstakes, raffle, or game of chance. You are not paying for a chance at anything. Your dollar buys the wall spot outright, the wall spot is delivered whether or not you are ever drawn, and nothing is withheld from anyone who never is.

We can change how the draw works, pause it, or stop running it altogether. The wall spot you paid for is not affected by that — see section 5.

4. What you can put on a note

By submitting a note you confirm that:

• you own the site you're linking to, or you're authorised to submit it;
• you have the right to use the name, description and logo you're uploading, and displaying them here infringes nobody's rights;
• the link points at a real, publicly reachable website — not a local address, an internal hostname, or a bare IP.

Notes may not link to or display:

• anything illegal where we or you are;
• malware, phishing, scams, or deceptive downloads;
• sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises them;
• hateful, harassing, or violent content, or content targeting a private person;
• someone else's brand, presented as if it were yours;
• a destination that changes to any of the above after the note goes up. The link is expected to keep pointing at the site you submitted.

Submissions pass a small automatic filter and are moderated by hand after that. Both are best-effort. Getting past the filter is not approval, and it doesn't stop us removing a note later.

5. How long a note stays up

Permanent means for as long as 1usd.lol is running. No renewal, no expiry, no removal for inactivity, no quiet clean-up of old entries.

It doesn't mean forever, because nothing is. If we shut the site down or hand it to someone else, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email to the address on your Stripe receipt, and that notice will say what is happening to the wall. If a shutdown lands within 30 days of your payment, we refund it.

We can take a note down at any time if it breaks section 4, if the site it points at starts serving something that would break section 4, or if we're legally required to. Removal for cause doesn't come with a refund.

You can ask us to take your own note down whenever you like, and we will. Whether the dollar comes back with it is covered by the refund policy.

6. The licence you give us

To show your note we need your permission to display what you submitted. You keep everything you own. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display your site name, description, logo and link on 1usd.lol, and in screenshots or posts about the site, for as long as your note is on the wall.

When the note comes down, that licence ends. It can't reach copies already made elsewhere — an old screenshot, someone's archive of the page — because we have no way to delete those.

7. Every link here is nofollow

Outbound links on the wall carry rel="nofollow noopener". That is deliberate and it isn't going to change.

Nothing here is sold as SEO, link building, or a ranking signal, and we make no promise about traffic, clicks, visibility, or any commercial result whatsoever. If anyone tells you a spot on this wall helps your search rankings, they are wrong, and they don't work for us.

8. The site itself

We run this on a best-effort basis. There's no uptime guarantee, no support commitment, and no promise that the wall looks or works the same next year — the design, the mechanics, and the price of a new note can all change. A price change never applies backwards to a note already paid for.

We can refuse a purchase, cancel a checkout, or reverse a payment where we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse.

9. Complaints and takedowns

If a note infringes your rights, points at something harmful, or plainly shouldn't be on the wall, get in touch and tell us:

• the note's name or serial number;
• what's wrong with it;
• if you're the rights-holder, which right you hold and how you hold it;
• how to reach you.

We aim to reply within five business days, and to act on clear-cut cases faster than that.

10. No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

The site is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law where you live allows.

If we do end up owing you something in connection with your note, the most we can owe is the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for lost profits, lost traffic, lost business, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited — fraud and personal injury among it.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll post changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially reduces what you got for a dollar you already paid, we'll email the address on your receipt before it takes effect. Leaving your note on the wall after that means you accept the change; if you'd rather not, ask us to take it down.

12. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION — SET BEFORE LAUNCH], and any dispute goes to the courts there. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
